VUMC Radiology is happy to welcome back Peter Shanahan, MD, to our department!
A graduate of our Diagnostic Radiology residency program and Neuroradiology fellowship, Dr. Shanahan returns to VUMC as an Assistant Professor in our Neuroradiology section.
After finishing his fellowship in 2016, Dr. Shanahan went to work for Radiology Alliance in Nashville, where he stayed until coming back to Vanderbilt.
Dr. Shanahan completed his undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering from Vanderbilt University where he received several academic accolades, including being named Academic Achievement Scholar and Paul Harrawood Scholar. He recieved his medical degree with high distinction from the University of Kentucky College of Medicine in Lexington.
