Jennifer Huang Joins VUMC Radiology as Faculty and Assistant Program Director

VUMC Radiology is excited to welcome back Jennifer Huang, MD, MEd!

Dr. Huang, who served as Chief Resident while at VUMC, joins our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Abdominal Imaging. She will also serve as an Assistant Program Director for our Diagnostic Radiology Residency.

“I am excited to be returning as faculty to continue building on my educational experiences and to be able to work alongside a team of colleagues that has played such a pivotal role in shaping my career,” says Dr. Huang.

Recently completing an Abdominal Imaging and Intervention fellowship at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, where she also served as Chief Fellow, Dr. Huang will help lead our diagnostic residents under the guidance of Steve Harris, MD, PhD.

“I can't imagine a better advocate for our residents and ambassador for our department than Dr. Huang,” says Dr. Harris. “We are thrilled to have her back!”

During her time in residency at VUMC, Dr. Huang won numerous awards and accolades, including the Thomas Dina Model Resident Award and Radiology Resident of the Year.

“I am thrilled to have Dr. Huang return to VUMC,” says Dan Brown, MD, FSIR, Chair of the Department of Radiology and Radiological Sciences. “She is an outstanding radiologist and educator, having won the J. William Hillman, MD award for Clinical Teaching as a resident. As we continue to grow the abdominal imaging section, her addition reinforces the important mix of education and clinical service in our department.”

Welcome back to Nashville, Dr. Huang!
